HID ballast: The hid ballast is also known as headlight control unit, a crucial part of hid lighting system, provides the voltage needed to start the lamp and regulates the electrical current of the light once it is lit. The OEM ballast is the same as the original ballast. It is designed to connect directly to the vehicle. Different ballasts fit different car models.
